Rainwater harvesting-Solution to water crisis

Rain water is the purest form of water though rain water are not well considered as a source of water in modern society. Rain water can be harvested very effectively and in good amount during wet weather. The water so collected can be used for sanitary, washing , cooking and even drinking after treatment.
This project aims to find the recent practices of rain water harvesting in Kathmandu Valley. Also it aims to find the possibility of rain water harvesting in modern houses, problems in doing so, calulation of the water volume per household, storage and treatment procedure of rain water and recommondation at the end.
