SUCCESSFUL PEOPLE WITH DIFFERENT ABILITY !!

Making video is not just what I want !!
When I make videos or work on any project I go through it before and after the video release.
I presented the problems of visually impaired and a differently able person in the recent video.

Video : https://www.facebook.com/ganeshgpks/videos/483517898667346/ (Facebook)
Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-0zkYoxBXsA

Before writing script I went through the problems of these people and how they have been struggling in day to day life. I think I have done justice with the script and addressed the problem properly.

But I have said in it, the dream of a person who spend most of his life on wheelchair to climb up THE MOUNT EVEREST. I really didn't have any idea whether this thing has been done or not when I was writing script. But after posting the video,  I searched some successful people with different ability.

Actually it has been DONE !! And its done by Arunima Singh of India. She was pushed from a running train by some robbers in 2011 and one of her legs had to be amputated below the knee. Obviously, she can walk with  artificial leg but to dream to climb Mt. Everest with it is the greatest inspiration to everyone.

She said , "When I was undergoing treatment at AIIMS (All India Institute of Medical Sciences) for four months, I could not do anything on my own. But then one day I decided to climb the Everest."

HOW TO SOLVE THE SUBMERGENCE/ FLOODING PROBLEM OF KATHMANDU VALLEY ?

Submergence or Flood in Kathmandu is not a new topic to discuss. Daily we see lots of pictures of different areas flooded with water in social medias. We also saw a bike being pulled out from the flooded water and a small kid being drowned on drainage water. This is not the problem of this year alone. It has been a problem from recent few years and it will obviously be one of the major problem in coming years.

So, What is the solution ?

 Here they are:

1) Rain Water Harvesting

Rooftop rainwater harvesting should be made compulsion in the houses to be made in Kathmandu valley. Feasibility study should be done in most of the existing houses whether rooftop rainwater harvesting can be done or not. And it should be installed by the government and house owner partnership.

How is it going to help ?

Sudip Simkhada & HIS LIFE STORY !!

Sudip Simkhada

Everybody born differently[natural birth, operation, lack of health cure etc.] in different place. Similarly I Sudip Simkhada born on my village Darkha-7[according to old division] Dhading in 1994-sep-23/2051- ashoj-7 as a eldest son of my parent. My parent gave me birth after three years of their marriage. At that time Darkha was very remote area. People had to walk 3 hours to reach transport. But in rainy season they had to walk whole day to reach transport. My father was teacher in my village. He called health assistant on my birth. I was born after 48 hours of pain from my mother. When I got birth, I can’t cry. I cried after 7 days[a week] of my birth.

My growth or development didn’t take properly. So my parent took me in Kathmandu further treatment. They spent a lot of money and we visit multiple doctors. At last none of treatment found and I had proved as disable and my disability is cerebral palsy[CP]. We return back to our village.

SLEEP PARALYSIS

Aroona Kunwor, Khce
27 JUNE 2017

Have you ever woke up amidst your sleep and wished that you hadn't because you were aware that you already woke up but the problem is: neither you could move your body nor speak or shout against the feeling of anxiety and chocking due to huge apparent weight on your chest or someone giant holding you down?

If the answer is "NO", then I pray that you never had one, ever in your lifetime. For those whose answer is "YES", dont worry. It's not that serious and devastating disorder of your body though. In medical language, it is called 'Sleep Paralysis'.

Fig:Drammatic depiction of sleep paralysis
Again the word 'Paralysis', lingering with the word 'Sleep' may frighten you more. Believe me, its literally same as we may infer from the word combination 'Sleep Paralysis', however differing in the fact that one who has already had once, or has frequently have more than once, they believe it ,indeed!

WannaCry: The Data Kidnapper

Ayush Bhattarai
Executive, ACM Foundation
We live in a world where communication has become a major part of people’s lifestyle. Without communication the existence of the world we live today would be impossible. As the saying goes, “With great power, comes great responsibilities” the process of making these communication secure become more and more difficult each day. With new methods of breaching into people’s private information and accessing data illegally the challenge of “Counter-Hacking” has become more and more difficult. Lately a ransomware called WannaCry or wcry has been in the radar of the international cyber security society. Its notorious actions have caused damage to more than 230,000 computers in more than 150 countries worldwide and is spreading rapidly.

What is a ransomware?
A ransomware is a computer malware which encrypts the files on a computer system and asks for ransom to decrypt the files. In other sense ransomware can be identified as the kidnapper of computer files and asks for ransom to let your data free. A ransomware works under the knowledge of cryptovirology i.e. the use of cryptography to create malwares. The use of cryptovirology has been increasing day by day as new algorithms to encrypt are published regularly.

History of WannaCry
National Security Agency(NSA) of the United States of America had found a way to exploit the vulnerability of the SMB (Server Message Block) protocol of the Microsoft Windows OS. The exploit called EternalBlue grabbed hold of Microsoft’s collar and was breaching into people’s messages and emails. A group of hackers known by the name “Shadow Brokers” leaked the exploit and the methods which caused a huge outcry on the internet. After the leak of the exploit done by the NSA, computer hackers started developing a new ransomware which infected the computer through attached email files pretending to be legitimate and encrypting the data in the computer. This new project was called “WannaCry”. WannaCry started to spread with a huge bang. After its release on 12 May 2017, it started infecting more than 230,000 within a day. WannaCry demands $300 equivalent Bitcoins in the form of ransom within 3 days of encryption and after that the ransom will rise. After 7 days if failed to submit the ransom, WannaCry will erase all the data from the computer. Bitcoin which is demanded for ransom is a type of cryptocurrency which works by securing transactions by various cryptographic algorithms and returning units of digital currency. Bitcoin was invented in 2009 by a programmer or a group of programmers under the name Satoshi Nakamoto.

How does WannaCry work?
As stated earlier a ransomware demands for ransom in exchange for the freedom of the data. So, WannaCry does the same. Initially, WannaCry is attached to an email which looks legitimate and is sent to the target computer user. As soon as the email is opened, WannaCry installs DoublePulsar which is an exploit tool developed by the NSA onto the system and encrypts all the data except for two files i.e. the ransom note and the directions to buy Bitcoins. WannaCry has affected major international companies like FedEx, Renault, Nissan, Bank of China, Hitachi etc. and have caused severe damage worth millions.

Is there a solution?
A “white-hat” hacker accidentally triggered the “killswitch” of WannaCry after he discovered a URL in the malware and registered it which shut the ransomware and stop its spreading. But soon WannaCry got updated and the killswitch no longer worked after registering the URL.
So, the best way to stay safe from WannaCry is firstly to keep all data backed up. Keeping backup data can be very useful because situations where erasing of data might happen and other various factors. Second, not to open emails from unknown sources or verify the emails by cross checking if sent (it might pretend to be your boss) by someone you know.

Thus, WannaCry has caused a major headache to the cyber security society due to its sneaky behavior and its encryption method. And people affected by WannaCry are URGED NOT TO PAY THE RANSOM, because if paid it will encourage the hackers to do more stuffs like this and nobody’s data or privacy will remain private.

RAM " माया खै कसले बुज्यो " - 10  Like , 2 Comments (10 Hours)
RADHIKA " माया खै कसले बुज्यो " - 1.2K  Like, 222 Comments (2 Hours)

What would happen if earth stopped spinning?

Hi !!
You will know the importance of this question after reading this.
I used to ask this question to my classmates,

"What would happen if earth stopped spinning? "

The answers I used to get:

  1. World will be divided into two parts i.e one will be dark forever while other will be bright.
  2. There won't be any weather changes. etc.

But there will be much more massive things happening if earth stops rotating. You may not believe that whole Asia would be swept away by the flood/waves coming from pacific ocean and whole Africa would be devastated by huge waves generated from Indian Ocean.

There is a simple logic behind it. Earth is moving at an speed of 1100 MPH which is 5 time the maximum speed recorded in formula 1 racing. If the Earth stopped spinning suddenly, the atmosphere would still be in motion with the Earth's original 1100 mile per hour rotation speed. This speed of wind will clean up anything on its way which is not attached with the bedrock of the earth. It means that all the houses, trees, top soil and pretty much everything including you and your mobile will be flying on the atmosphere.
If you think you will not be affected with the speed of wind then wait, there is more than that. Suppose you are on a bus travelling at speed of 40 kmph and if it suddenly stopped, you will be pushed forward by significant distance.
Now take earth as a bus with a speed of 1100 mile per hour (around 1700 kmph) and if it stops suddenly, where will you be ?
A calculation shows that we would be thrown into the wall at speed of 1.5 times the speed of sound had wall been there.
This shows that everything will be swept away and this excessive force might even break the earth apart.
So it can be said that HUGE AND MASSIVE UNIDIRECTIONAL EARTHQUAKE will occur.
Life would end and there will be new start....
But who cares, we live in this earth for 100 years....the probability for such an event is practically zero in the next few billion years !!!!
So, cheers and enjoy your life...

Possible remedies for burning issue of Kathmandu roads: Dust generation

Suraj Shah, Khce

Dust arising from development is additional to background dust concentrations. If not adequately controlled dust emissions from developments may lead to increases in dust concentrations beyond the site boundary, which may affect local amenity and influence local air quality.
It is more effective to address dust emissions at the design and planning stage of new development proposals, than to seek to deal with dust problems retrospectively. Likewise it is more effective to deal with potential dust emissions at source, rather than once airborne. However, in context of Nepal system, the solution is searched once problem is in its high phase and it becomes the headlines of national daily. So, as an engineering student I am writing some major remedies  with their economic value to dust generation which is becoming a major health issue to Kathmandu valleys people.

They are as follows:

WATER:
Water is considered as one of the cheapest method for dust control but with the frequent application rates and equipment used in spraying and scarcity of water in context of valley its optional has to be thought. In generally, the effectiveness of water spray depends upon weather and traffic and may be effective from 30 minutes to 3 hours.so with the frequent application cause rise in capital and cause way slippery and cause potholes. If water is used as dust palliatives it should be used with surfactants or wetting agents or mix with less salts.

HYGROSCOPIC SALTS:
It may be next option for valley as water is scare  in a dry period generally (falgun to jesth) hygroscopic salts are typically chloride salts and suppress dust by attracting moisture from the air, keeping the road surface moist. They are generally applied as surface sprays or mixed in, followed by a final wash (rates vary according to material type, preparation and traffic). When the atmospheric moisture falls below 70% relative humidity, the hygroscopic chlorides cease to function, whereas the deliquescent chlorides cease to function at about 30–40% relative humidity. The products are thus climate sensitive, and Jones (1998) reports their limitation to a climate region encompassing Gauteng Chloride salts are able to have their water-attracting functions recharged with a few hours of adequate moisture and humidity.

PETROLEUM RESIN:
The next solution is Petroleum (emulsified or sulphonated petroleum) resins are derived as a by-product of the oil refining industry; emulsified petroleum resins are formulated as dust suppressants and stabilizers. Binding agents added to the emulsified petroleum resin (derived from paraffinic crude oil) formulation, which penetrate the wearing course and bind the material, preventing them from becoming airborne. In addition, wetting agents, emulsifiers and dispersants are added to increase the penetration and spreading of the product.  The application methodology is dependent on the wearing course material characteristics, usually an initial mix-in application would be required followed by maintenance spray-on applications.

TAR AND BITUMEN EMULSION PRODUCTS:
The last discussed technical solution is Tar-based products are derived from coal tar distillates to which solvents are added to improve penetration. Bituminous based products are based on 80/100 penetration grade bitumen with solvents added. Emulsifiers and wetting agents may be added to enable the product to be mixed with water and applied as a mix-in product, followed by spray-on maintenance applications, at an application frequency and dilution dependent on the product itself, material type, preparation and traffic types and volumes. The palliative works by binding the wearing course material, but performance is sensitive to the quality of the wearing course material.

The graph showing comparisons of these products:

However other technique like traffic management ;reducing speed ,reducing traffic volume.
