Sindupalchowk Tour

We (Me and Harry B.C.) started the tour early morning at 8 a.m. We took bus from Gatthaghar and headed towards Barabise. There wasn't a single empty seat but fortunately cabin was empty. We travelled upto Barabise sitting on the cabin. On the way we were surprised to see the scale of Jiri Landslide which actually is much bigger than what we see on TV and paper.

SOME TIPS FOR SURVEY CAMP

Before Survey Camp

1) Carry your laptop. Don't fear of losing and breaking or anything like that.
2) Install Microsoft Office (Excel is needed) , Autocad and DTM ( Digital Terrain Modeling) in your laptop. (GIS is optional )
3) Learn the basic of Excel like addition, subtraction, multiplication ,division etc. by putting formulas. Also, learn the conversion of Degree, Minute and Second in excel.
4) Carry some painkiller, water bottle and torch light.

In Survey Camp

Traversing

1) In traversing, don't make so many legs. Around 14-16 legs are sufficient.
2) Please make the calculation of the data properly. Try to do all the table calculation in Excel.
3) Don't try to cheat while making calculation and plotting because it will be rechecked with plane table surveying. You will have to do again if the legs are not oriented perfectly.

Fly levelling

Fly levelling of around 1-2 km should be done making closed loops. Also, fly levelling should be done to transfer the RL to each major and minor station of your traverse.
Its not that easy as before because the terrain will be steep and you have to maintain that 2-0.6 limit.

***** So, to be on that limit ( 2 - 0.6m ) many students try to go sideway to set up auto lable and lose their time. They only way you can do it quick and fast is going straight down and covering small horizontal distance. *****

Detailing

Take as much as points as you can. Its best if you can take more than 1000 points. Take more points of the slopes, house corners and side of road (left and right).
Don't take nearer points while detailing. Near points within small height difference is useless as u will be plotting in small scale later.

After Survey Camp

1) Divide the work with the group members.
2) Try to plot the total station data in GIS and compare the contour with autocad-DTM.

HOW FAR I HAVE REACHED WITH MY 5 RESOLUTIONS OF THE YEAR 2073 ??

Well, it's wonderful to write in blog after long time !!
I had made five resolutions for the year 2073 on the very first day of this year. I wanna give a brief summary of what I have done and achieved till this date.

1) Gas and Petroleum Pipeline System in Nepal (GPPS)
I studied about both the Gas and Petroleum Pipeline System and its design process. I watched lots of documentries of biggest pipeline network on earth. Its not that easy as said to construct pipelines in Nepal. Its takes a lot of time, money and materials.

Many people think it's impossible but I seriously don't think its impossible. In addition to this Petroleum and Gas are very much necessary to grow and build this nation for centuries to come though we have huge potential in hydropower.
Raxual-Amlekjung  ( Phase 1) petroleum pipeline is going to start after some days. I am going to link my research with this phase if it starts on time. And in phase 2 ( Amlekhjung-Kathmandu), I wish to work being an Engineer not as observer.

Also, Solid Waste Management Project is going on. The main aim of this project is to conclude whether we can generate the gas for economical use by processing the waste collected from KTM valley or not.

2) Politics and social work
College life don't give much time to involve in any political and social events. Though I managed to be the part of the Dr. KC campaign against corruption and Educational Revolution.

Also I tried to raise the voice with a tag " पुनर्निर्माण कहाँ पुग्यो सरकार ?? ". I made some videos and urged other to do the same which was my unsuccessful try. I will be back again with this issue soon.
Also, I will continue to go in any campaign and programs which are for good cause for the rest of the year.

3) Literature
I wrote some poems and recorded 2-3 in videos. It was nice to hear the beautiful comments and appreciation from friends and  families.
About my " Upanyas", I haven't started yet. I have made a rough draft of it. I will start it after the vacation and by the end of Falgun, it should finish.

4) Videos, blog and Youtube
Growing in Youtube is so hard. I have already made more than 40+ videos but all of them with double digit views. Acutally I haven't shared my youtube videos so extensively, haven't requested to suscribe my channels and forced anyone to view any videos. Also, the contents of my videos are random, they are of low quality and most of them are very short. There are so many reasons .....

Blogging is good. Its the place where I share my ideas. I will keep doing this untill I'l have a personal website.
Facebook is good place to show your work and creation. Its hard if there is no support from the friends and families.

My videos got 0 share from friends and families though some of them were good and informative.
No hard feelings, now you people (my friends) will no longer be my friends, you will be my family.
A COMMON MAN family !! I wish to get maximum support from all of you in coming days.

This is the concept that always rings around me. I always think about this but I haven't got the best output yet with a clear idea.
I will work on it with more research and calculation. For this I need a group of people who are willing to work for free for some period of time. They should be good at graphics designing, web designing and other computing aspects.
Making site and starting the work is later part.

ITS GOOD. TILL NOW, ITS BEEN A LEARNING PHASE. NOW, THE ACTUAL WORK HAS TO BE STARTED.LET'S KEEP GOING.

Premier league 2016/2017 starting tomorrow

Premier league 2016/2017 is starting tomorrow, 13th August 2016. This season is going to be the interesting one with a lot of change especially on managerial aspects. Manchester United, Chelsea and Manchester City have appointed new mangers to their clubs and all the three coaches are a successful in their previous clubs and country. Champion Leichester City is unchanged while Arsenal is with their own specialist in failure.

The squad of Manchester United seems much imperessive and they will surely contend for the title. Also, City, Arsenal and Chelsea will be fighting the race and not to forget the surprise champion Leichester.

There are 7 games on the first day (Week Day 1) on which Leichester City will be kicking off with Hull City away. Arsenal vs Liverpool on the next day is the most interesting game of the game week 1.

May the best club win the season 2016/2017.

Waste Management in Kathmandu 1.04 - Teku Transfer Station

Field Visit to Teku Transfer Station

We have visited three private organizations which are working in solid waste management in Bhaktapur. Also, they have been doing the same work in some parts of Kathmandu and Lalitpur. 

Up to now we have concluded the following things from field visits in Bhaktapur:

1) Most of the work of collection, segregation and transfer of solid waste is done by private organization in valley.

2) The segregation plant of the private organization are not well managed. Some are under the bridge while some are near river side. Though, recyclable materials are segregated and composting has also been started. 

3) After segregation, the waste collected by the private organization directly goes to Sisdol. They have their own vehicle to transfer the waste.

Dreams are the reflection of the things we do and we think.

Everyone sees dreams. Many things happen in the dream. You may see yourself flying in the sky, flowing with water, burning in fire, falling from cliff etc. Also you may see you cry in the dream. You might have seen yourself naked and in some dangerous situation. The dreams you see before the exams or any big event might have different stages of fear. You might have seen yourself in exam halls with a blind mind; you cannot write anything though you want.

And the most important thing you do in the dream is Conversation.

This is where I want to drag you, the conversation in the dreams. There are so much of it. So much that we forget most of the conversation we did.

One amazing thing about it is you can never recall from where the dream started and what conversation did it.

The question here isn't the conversation of the dream, the question is
