Plate girders are essentially the I beam fabricated mainly by the plate. Angle section are usually used to connect the flange plate and web plate. While in welded connection flange plates are directly welded with the web plate.

1) Web Plate
2) Flange Plate and their Curtailment
3) Flange angles
4) Web Splice plates
5) Flange Splice plates
6) Longitudinal or horizontal stiffners
7) Transverse or vertical stiffners
8) Bearing stiffners
9) End bearing
