Gas and Petroleum Pipeline System, Nepal !!!
I waited for 3 months for the start of pipeline construction from Raxual to Amlekjung. As per an article, the construction was scheduled to start from the end of December or first week of January. I had made a plan to visit the place of commencement once it is announced that the actual work has been started. Hope I will have that opportunity after I become an Engineer.
Here are some of the study I have made about this section which I will also include in my final report.
Sometimes, people laugh at me when I say pipeline construction is possible, it is going to start this year (2017). They put forward Melamchi as an example. I don't have anything bigger than a slight smile as an answer.
1) Is it really possible ?
Yes, yes , yes !!! It is definitely possible. It has lots of advantages.
2) How ?
If its about the processes, here they are :
Planning (Almost Completed)
3) Do we have enough budget for this project ?
Yes, we have. This is a project of mutual benefit. So, the major portion of the budget will be borne by India. The estimated cost of this project is Rs. 2.75 Billion. India will bear 2 Billion while Nepal will put in Rs. 750 million. The project is estimated to finish in 30 months.
